Art is one of Vestar’s founding partners. He was previously with The First Boston Corporation, where he headed the Private Finance Group for seven years and co-headed the Management Buyout Group for four more. Before that he was a systems engineer at IBM and an officer in the U.S. Naval Reserve.

Art holds a BA in Mathematics from Pennsylvania State University and an MBA in Finance from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Business.

Born and raised in Allentown, Pennsylvania, Art is married with two children and lives in Bronxville, New York.
