Jeff Ansell is a member, and formerly Chairman, of the Board of Directors of Circana (previously IRI) , a data, insights and strategic analytics firm that serves the general merchandise and fast moving consumer goods industries. Jeff was Chairman from 2018 to 2022 and a member of the Board of Directors for over 12 years, since 2011. Jeff is also Chairman of Dr. Praeger’s Sensible Foods since Vestar’s investment in 2021. In addition, Jeff serves as Chairman of Pet Honesty, plus he’s a member of the Board of Directors of Roland Foods. Jeff has served as a Vestar Senior Advisor since 2017.
Previously, he was Chairman, President and CEO of Sun Products Corporation, a leading North American fabric and household products company and former Vestar portfolio company. At Sun Products, Jeff recruited top talent, overhauled the Company’s strategy, streamlined the portfolio, strengthened core brands while launching exciting innovation, implemented a new business model that created competitive advantage, and re-shaped the Company’s infrastructure as part of a multi-year cost reduction effort. Jeff, along with his senior leadership team, played a critical role in the successful sale of Sun Products to strategic buyer Henkel AG for $3.6 billion. Pitchbook, a leading research and analytics firm serving financial sponsors, ranked the transaction a “top 5 private equity exit” of 2016.
Prior to joining Sun Products Jeff served as CEO and member of the Board of Directors of Pinnacle Foods Group, a company of iconic food brands. Jeff and his team developed and implemented the foundational strategy that ultimately enabled a successful IPO and Pinnacle as an acquisition platform.
Jeff began his career at Procter & Gamble, where he spent 25-years. He progressed through positions of increasing responsibility spanning multiple business units and geographies, rising to Corporate Officer and member of P&G’s Global Leadership Council. His most recent position at P&G was President of P&G Pet Care, a global business unit created when P&G acquired The Iams Company, creating a global footprint of Iams and Eukanuba pet nutrition products sold in more than 70 countries around the world.
Jeff is also Chairman of the American Kennel Club Museum of the Dog in New York City, an art museum featuring one of the greatest collections of canine art and artifacts anywhere in the world.
A graduate of the Indiana University Kelley School of Business, Jeff has served as a member of the Dean’s Council Advisory Board of Indiana’s Kelley School since 2010.
